The first batch of tickets sold out in under 3 minutes! Speedy fingered folk out there. If you haven’t got your tickets yet or don’t know why you should, well here’s a reminder just how awesome Ignite London is! We give you Steve Berry’s brilliant IgniteLDN4 presentation about How George Lucas’ empire destroyed the British toy industry. Perfect friday afternoon viewing!
You definitely want tickets to see what Ignite London 5 has in store!
There’s still two more opportunities to get your hands on some tickets. Batch number 2 and 3 will be made available on:
Sunday 30th October 2011 at 1900
Tuesday 1st November 2011 at 1230
Head on over to our Eventbrite page to get some.
Tickets are limited so please only take one if you are able to attend. Previous events have shown ticket holders not informing us they would be unable to make it. This meant that people on the waitlist were unable to have a chance of attending in their place. Therefore if you are unable to attend please inform us as soon as possible via tickets@ignitelondon.net so we can redistribute the ticket to someone able to use it.
We are happy to announce details of how you can get tickets for Ignite London 5 at 93 Feet East on 8th November 2011.
If you didn’t already realise tickets are free and only guarantees admission for one person until 19:30, after this point we reserve the right to let other eager people in who have waited or tried their luck at the door.
As tickets have previously sold out in record time of 5 minutes or less, we have decided to continue releasing them in 3 batches to give everyone a fair chance of grabbing one. We will announce each batch release again closer to the time to help remind you.
So head on over to our Eventbrite page and keep a close eye on this site and our twitter account as tickets will be made available on:
Thursday 20th October 2011 at 1230
Sunday 30th October 2011 at 1900

With a week to go before the speaker submission deadline, there is still time to get your speaker submissions in! Get your thinking caps on over the weekend. Deadline hits at 6 pm on Friday 7th October 2011.
Now to get those creative juices flowing here is some inspiration! This is one of my favourite Ignite London talks from the very first Ignite London.
We’ve been quiet for a while, but the tinder has well and truly been lit! We’re back and raring to go! Ignite London will be back at 93 Feet East in Shoreditch on the 8th November!
We are now looking for speakers. If you had five minutes on a stage what would you say?
If there’s a topic you are passionate about and you want to spend five minutes telling a very enthusiastic audience all about it then this is your chance. We’re after a mix of high-energy, funny and serious, social and personal, high and low tech, crafty, webby, environmental, quirky and mainstream. Making us laugh is a good thing, making us think is even better! The only thing we insist on is No Sales Pitches. To get an idea of the wide range of previous talks take a look at the videos of previous Ignite Speakers.
So go on, “Enlighten us, but make it quick.”
How to submit a Proposal
Complete the online submission form on our Speak page.
Please include as much information about your proposed talk as you can, as this will help us determine who is chosen for the line-up. We will endeavour to respond to your proposal as soon as we can to confirm we’ve received it.
By submitting a proposal, you are agreeing that we may use your name and the title of your talk within Ignite London promotional material.
Deadline
Proposals must be received by 6 pm on Friday 7th October 2011. Based on the previous events we expect to receive many more submissions than can be accommodated so the more information about your talk you can give the better.
The Selection Process
Talks will be selected based on whether the topic is interesting, inventive, creative and unique. We will also make an attempt to select a wide range of topics, so that there isn’t too much overlap in terms of content and subjects that have been covered at previous Ignite London events. We’ll let you know soon after the deadline whether your proposal has been successful in order to give you as much time as possible to prepare.
We look forward to reading your proposals and good luck!
Wow-wee! What a night! In the glow of a brilliant Ignite London 4 we need to say a big big thank you to you all!
To everyone who came along and had a jolly good time, to all the superb speakers, to Sean and his team at 93 Feet East for being a big brilliant venue, to FatDUX: Wall Of Tweets for our shiny wall of tweets, and Flip for letting us borrow a couple of UltraHD video cameras, to O’Reilly for donating some prizes and to everyone who let us know beforehand if they couldn’t make it, so we could give their ticket to someone else. Oh and the cupcakes! (thanks very yummy #knightpatisserie@jemimah_knight and @designjuju for the eating photos)
Every single one of you has made Ignite London #4 what it was, an absolute blast! I hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did!
You can also follow the musings of our lovely organisers @andykervell@smithylad@chichard41 @clairey_ross and @davejoyner. Ignite wouldn’t happen without these guys.
