Ignite London Talk: J.K Tina Basi to Speak on Nomadism (Or Surfing the Net)

J.K. Tina Basi’s Ignite London talk is called Nomadism (Or Surfing the Net): Harnessing the Power of Distraction as A Path to Enlightenment. A writer and academic, Tina holds a PhD in Gender Studies and Sociology from the University of Leeds. Previously a freelance ethnographic researcher with Intel’s Digital Health Group in Ireland, she has also established a consultancy, Mehfil Enterprise, conducting corporate ethnography in media and technology and related industries. Her book Women, Identity, and India’s Call Centre Industry, was published by Routledge earlier this year. She is currently working on an ethnographic research project about spirituality.
